Electrical and Electronics Institute provides testing services covering the main industrial sectors of Thailand. To support and facilitate by testing and certification, also product research and development for domestic entrepreneurs.
Electrical and Electronics Industry
Main products in the electrical and electronics industry such as household appliances, electronic and IT appliances, lighting equipment, batteries, electrical cables and electrical components which are main product groups that is controlled by domestic regulator and entrepreneurs, which emphasis both testing requirements and product quality. Electrical and Electronics Institute is ready to provide testing services related to safety requirements, energy efficiency, electromagnetic compatibility, noise and environmental characteristics. To support local production and import for sale within the country. Including developing products to export abroad. The main agencies who hold the regulation of the mandatory and voluntary products in Thailand are Thai Industrial Standards Institute (TISI) and the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand.
Automotive and Electric Vehicles Industry
Policy to support industries related to automotive and electric vehicles within the country is the main policy of the government. which tests various products such as automotive and electric vehicles, EV charging stations and batteries are considered key factors in facilitate and supporting the growth of the industry in order to have quality products, effective and safety in use. EEI’s Testing laboratory is considered a testing infrastructure to support announcements of regulations by agencies that regulate and supervise products in this group, such as the Department of Land Transport, Thai Industrial Standards Institute, Electricity Genarting Authority of Thailand, Provincial Electricity Authority, Metropolitan Electricity Authority etc.
Electrical Power and Renewable Energy Industry
The energy industry is considered one of the industries that is in line with the country’s development direction. Product groups that are in various energy cycles need to be controlled to ensure safety, good performance and proper performance such as solar inverter, energy energy, UPS, consumer, RCCB/RCBO etc. Currently, there are many agencies that control the quality of equipment, such as Thai Industrial Standards Institute, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, Provincial Electricity Authority, Metropolitan Electricity Authority etc.
Telecommunication Industry
Testing and certification of standards for telecommunications equipment in the telecommunication industry is considered an important activity in controlling and developing the country’s infrastructure. Medical Equipment Industry
Inspection and permission to use medical devices is considered the main activity of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The product testing section related to medical devices for certification to the Thai Industrial Standards is supervised by Thai Industrial Standards Institute which emphasizes safety requirements in use, physical and electrical safety. including various medical risks from the use of medical equipment and tools.
